Assembly Candidate Tom Schiliro to visit Fisher's Island

Riverhead – Tom Schiliro, the Democratic candidate for New York State Assembly in the 2nd District, will visit Fishers Island on Sunday, Oct. 12. Schiliro will meet with residents to discuss the unique needs of the community from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Fishers Island Community Center.

“Fishers Island families deserve a representative who will do what’s right for them and give them a voice in Albany,” said Schiliro. “I look forward to meeting with Fisher Island families to talk about my plan to cut taxes and bring better opportunities to everyone living on the island.”

Fishers Island, located at the eastern entrance to Long Island Sound, lies approximately two miles off the southeastern coast of Connecticut. Although Fishers Island is geographically close to the Connecticut coast, it’s officially a hamlet of the Town of Southold, NY, at the eastern end of Long Island. Ferries leave Long Island from Orient Point and must first go to New London CT to get to Fishers Island.
